Macie is a proud Nevadan. She is a 21 year old who is studying Behavior Analysis Psychology and Music with a minor in Gerontology at the University of Nevada, Reno. On February 11, 2018 Macie was crowned Miss Lake Tahoe 2018. Since the age of 5, Tuell has been training as a classical violinist and was a member of the Carson Valley Sinfonia Orchestra where she held the prestigious position of first chair and principal of the Violin 2 section.
Macie wears many hats in her community. She is an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association where she is a Public Policy Committee member and apart of the Advocacy Team for Nevada House Representative Mark Amodei. She currently serves as the Music and Memory Coordinator for Perry Foundation. Most recently she became an ambassador for Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's. As a local titleholder for MAO, she is also a local ambassador for Children's Miracle Network. Macie is also a Keynote Speaker and National Spokesperson for the D.A.R.E America program.
Macie drafted and passed a Nevada State Proclamation as signed by Governor Brian Sandoval officially declaring September as Alzheimer's Awareness Month in Nevada.
Her personal platform is entitled "Memories Matter: Alzheimer's and Dementia Awareness."

During her involvement in pageantry, she has been awarded the 2017 Miss America Community Service Award, the 2018 Eileen Hale Empowerment Award in recognition of her community volunteer efforts, the 2017 & 2018 Miss Nevada Social Media Award, and was honored to be named 1st Runner Up in the 2018 Miss Nevada Competition.
